Writing Journey
Monica Nguon is an aspiring author, dreaming to flood bookshelves with her stories.
Monica paused her IT career to raise her two toddlers. Supermom by day, she sheds the mask and cape at night to jot down swoon-worthy paragraphs on her computer.
Generally found with a romance book within her hands, she spends an insane amount of time working out scenes in her head. Because she loves surprising her readers with plot twists and unforeseen subgenres, her daydreaming sessions often end up plastering an evil grin on her face.
Monica lives in France with her husband and children. She writes in English because her word flow is better in this language than in her mother tongue—which deeply sadden her French teachers.

My Virtual Darcy
Completed: August 2020
What would you give up to dive into your favourite story?
Romantic, sharp-tongued, with a tendency to fall in love with tall, dark-haired, brooding men--Leah is the archetype of the "Pride and Prejudice" fan. TV series, movies, comics, musicals: she has seen and read them all.
For her birthday, Leah's friends and family pool together to get her the ultimate Janeite gift: the Bridge, a virtual-reality gaming device.
By granting access to her five senses, she can live her favourite novel as the iconic Elizabeth Bennet!
As she explores Regency England and quarrels with the infamous Darcy, Leah cannot help but digress from the original plot to suit her modern-woman convictions.
The longer she plays, the weirder her beloved characters act, until the lines between fiction and reality blur.
Warning: contains squabbling with sexy gentlemen, heated intercourse, ill-intentioned hackers, and donuts.
