Applying the Snowflake Method: Step 4: Paragraph 1/5

Hi, guys,

For this step, I'm supposed to expend my one-paragraph summary by taking each sentence and writing a paragraph from it, totaling 5 paragraphs. However, I was struggling to do so since yesterday and the two summaries I had written for my MCs.

Indeed, as I worked on His plot, I wondered how it would fit/align with Hers and with the big plot aka. romance. I tried drafting a timeline using a bullet list, then a spreadsheet, but none unstuck me. So, I resorted to sticky notes, labeling each with a scene or two, and separating them in three groups/colors: Her plot, His plot, the big plot.

It felt good to work with concrete tools. In a little under an hour, I had discarded and replaced half a dozen notes, moved some events earlier, and added scenes where they were scarce.

The results are as follows:

Using this timeline, I've managed one paragraph today. Please kindly note the MCs' names have changed:

• Aymeric is now Aimeric. The name contains "aimer", which is "to love" in French. Also "Aime" is pronounced like the letter M, and because "ric" comes from "king", I had Aimeric's alter ego be M. King.

• Because I removed a Y from Aimeric's name, I allowed myself to give it to Lorelei, who became Loreley as per the original, German name.

First paragraph of Step 4:

When they learn they are expecting twins, Loreley's husband offers to quit his job and stay home to raise the kids. Loreley becomes the family provider, a responsibility she takes pride in. However, financial security comes at the cost of many a privileged moment with her family. Swamped with work, she grows estranged from her toddlers and husband. She aims at becoming technical expert, a position that would allow her to spend more time with her family. During her evenings alone in the office, working, she befriends a stranger, Aimeric. Taking advantage of internet's anonymity, she pours her heart out. Moved by her honesty, Aimeric reveals he is M. King, a Youtuber known worldwide for singing masked.
